Balsa USA Piper J-3 Cub
Covered in Super Coverite to give a cloth covering just like the real J-3. It's painted in yellow Imron paint with the well know black lightning bolt down the side. Originally powered by a Super Tigre 2000, the OS FT 120 came to occupy the nose for a more scale look and sound. This was my very first large scale plane and it flies like a trainer. Very docile and forgiving and can be slowed down to a walking speed for landing. Spanning 108 inches, Balsa USA sells this as a 1/4 scale kit. Mine weighs in at just a few ounces over 14 lbs with the twin cylinder OS Max engine and onboard glow. I fly this one with all standard servo's and have never had a problem of any kind due to not being large scale servo's.
